Despite the previous court troubles and the mental weather around Sydney leading up to Feb 18, KSO3 finally kicked off with MC Isabella Manfredi of The Preatures making it clear this isn't about beating Mike Baird or the State Government.
"This isn't an anti-government movement – we need to work with police, with all our allies to get this across"
With the numbers for this rally looking a little down hopefully these words get the foot soldiers to realise that just because #casinomike is out, our fight is not over.

Followed with performances by Montaigne reppn' the up-and-comers, GANGgajang then took us back to a time when they were playing shows in now extinct Sydney venues with the likes of INXS and Midnight Oil, before hitting us with "Sounds of Then" and it wouldn't be a KSO party without some beats. This time provided by Adi Toohey, Andy Garvey and Hugo from Flight Facilities. With support from Liberal Councillor for the City of Sydney - Christine Forster and the first state MP to address the crowd at a KSO rally Alex Greenwich, who recounted how he met his now husband on the D-floor in a Kings Cross nightclub after 1:30am.
#Sydneyclubkids and anyone that enjoys / enjoyed the freedom to go out when and where they like need to keep the conversation going. Share the Facebook pics and like the posts, click on the articles and keep informed and most of all be heard.

An estimated 10,000 Sydneysiders marched from Belmore Park to Taylors Square on Sunday, 09/10/16 to show the Baird government we are not happy with the 30 minute extension to the out of touch Lockout Laws.
Tyson Koh got the march moving with a great opening speech, later followed by Urthboy, Hayley Mary of The Jezabels and Jess Scully, all talking about the culture and night life they once loved and sorely miss. With the One Dayers, Touch Sensitive & Ariane getting the thousands of punters grooving in Taylors Square, it's going to be hard for the powers that be to ignore us for much longer. Hell, if they do, Rally #3!
For Nich and I, SOUNDS OF THE SUBURBS 2016 got off to a rocky start. First off, a few drinks the night before turned into a 4am benda with a very dusty wake up. Breakfast wasn't an option as we were already running late, so a cheeky dash to Oporto on the way to Cootsy's pad was a must.
It's just after 1230pm and in classic Cootsy style, he isn't ready so we all decide to punch a few beers. A few minutes later we hear heavy rain pounding the car park outside and realise we aren't getting Fish Tacos anytime soon.
We arrive at the festival around 130pm, one of the outdoor stages has been washed out forcing a reshuffle and a bit of confusion for organisers, bands and punters alike.
After smashing a couple of those elusive Fish Tacos and some BUDs while watching THE CLOACAS, we're ready to get amongst it.
Outside, the rain is back and plenty of people just don't care. Already soaked from the first down pour or drunk enough not to care about this one, they party on. BFMP Crew included. From this point on things become a bit blurry and time ceased to exist.
We did get the chance to chat with Sam from WILD HONEY before they took to the stage, fall in love with ALEX LAHEY, get blown away by GUANTANAMO BAYWATCH and nailed in the DZ DEATHRAYS mosh. All round top day really.
A big thanks to Bronnie Jane Lee of THE HEDONISTIC for the pics.

REMI and Sensible J Smith damn near burnt NSC to the ground! Along with very special guests including Sampa the Great, the big ol family sing-a-long to close the show did nothing to kill the flames. We all needed a hose down after this one.
This Sydney 3 piece can float you away into the clouds. Make sure you're tied onto something heavy if listening on the couch with headphones. You have been warned.
The LuLu Reas are 4 champions from Sydney providing the masses with groovy pop rock tunes you can't help but move to. If you can't appreciate the moustache upon the top lip of Marcus, well you need to have a good look at your life.
Off the back of their break out success Burnout, The Lulu Raes are about to embark on a national tour for their new EP All our parents are divorced. Punch the link to see where the good vibes will be flowing.

2016 has been a big year for MIDAS.GOLD. BFMP first caught up with him supporting IVAN OOZE back in June. Since then, he was a Feature Artist on Triple J Unearthed, won the J's Unearthed comp to Play at Listen Out and debuted a clip on RAGE.
The gig at NSC back in June was pretty nuts. It's not a common thing to see a support have such a big crowd but, as the beats & rhymes flowed, it was easy to understand. Power and energy are what you can expect from MIDAS.GOLD and the crowd can't help but give it back.
